HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — The world’s first guitar-shaped hotel has opened for business in Florida.

Stretching 450 feet high, the neon-lit Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino can be spotted from the air by passengers flying into the Fort Lauderdale airport.

The sprawling 34-level complex features 638 guest rooms and suites, and includes 19 restaurants, 20 bars, nightclubs, a massive casino and a luxury spa. Guitar rentals for guests are complimentary, and even the door handles throughout are shaped like electric guitars.

In addition to the guitar hotel, Hard Rock added the Oasis Tower, housing another 168 rooms, some with swim-up suites, during the $1.5 billion rebuild.

Popular rockers Maroon 5 performed at the opening.
