Cobb Galleria Centre welcomes Shawn Stinson as director of food and beverage

COBB COUNTY, Ga.  – The Cobb-Marietta Coliseum & Exhibit Hall Authority has hired Shawn Stinson as director of food and beverage at the Cobb Galleria Centre and Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre.

Stinson has 25 years of experience in venue and food and beverage management. As director of food and beverage, Stinson will provide strategic leadership and execution of the company’s food and beverage concepts.

“Shawn’s background and credentials bring a fresh perspective to our venues,” said Michele Swann, general manager & CEO of the Cobb-Marietta Coliseum & Exhibit Hall Authority. “She brings a depth of knowledge that will add to our already incredibly talented team and elevate the guest experience.”

Stinson, a Michigan native, began her career in country club management. Additionally, she spent 12 years with the Academy of Medicine at Georgia Tech and most recently was the general manager of Proof of the Pudding at Savanna Hall (Zoo Atlanta). She has a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and hospitality services from Central Michigan University.
The Cobb Galleria Centre is in the 88-acre Galleria complex in northwest Atlanta. Cobb Galleria Centre is Atlanta’s premier convention facility with 320,000 square feet of event space, four exhibition halls, 20 meeting rooms, four executive boardrooms, and a grand ballroom.

The Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre is located at 2800 Cobb Galleria Parkway in northwest Atlanta, inside the Perimeter. Cobb Energy Centre is a venue for opera, concerts, Broadway shows, ballet, educational shows, family shows, and corporate meetings and events. The Centre hosts two resident companies, the Atlanta Ballet and The Atlanta Opera.  The facility includes the 2,750-seat John A. Williams Theatre, 10,000-square-foot Kessel D. Stelling Ballroom, and full-service food and beverage capabilities.
