MIAMI BEACH, Fla.—Hyatt Hotels Corp. recently opened Andaz Miami Beach, following a complete transformation of The Confidante Miami Beach. Andaz Miami Beach marks the brand’s debut in Florida and its first opening since forming Hyatt Lifestyle Group.
The property has 287 guest rooms, including 64 spacious suites with views of the ocean or the Miami skyline. The resort also features two heated outdoor pools with private cabanas, a spa, a members’ beach club, and a private beachfront with lounge chairs, umbrellas, and cozy daybeds reserved for guests. In addition, Ondara Spa offers a transformative wellness experience for guests. Perched on the fourth-floor terrace, the spa includes a relaxation lounge overlooking the Atlantic and a menu of pre-event services, advanced skincare, and touchless therapies—all powered by Obagi Skincare products.
Guests can enjoy three dining concepts curated by the José Andrés Group: Aguasal, a Spanish-inspired restaurant serving coastal fare with water views; Bar Centro, a beachy lounge by day and cocktail bar by night; and The Bazaar by José Andrés, which will make its grand return in 2026.
Inspired by the coast and Miami’s Art Deco past, the hotel features a color palette of aqua, mint, turquoise, and sage. There are no check-in desks, but guests are personally greeted, seated, and welcomed with a cocktail.
“It’s a place you want to take your shoes off and never leave,” says Amar Lalvani, president and creative director of Hyatt Lifestyle Group. “The setting is perfect, the feeling is effortlessly cool, the music is always just right, and, with José Andrés involved, you know the food and drink will be on point.”
For meeting planners, Andaz Miami Beach has approximately 25,000 square feet of versatile indoor and outdoor event space, including two oceanfront ballrooms with floor-to-ceiling windows against a backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean. Seven meeting rooms can accommodate breakout sessions, board meetings, and other celebrations. The swimming pool also features a hydraulic floor system that seamlessly elevates to create a solid surface fitting for music acts, receptions, and runway shows.
