Bay Area Houston, between Houston and Galveston Bay, comprises Clear Lake Shores, League City, Nassau Bay, Seabrook, and Texas City. The area offers water recreation and bird-watching activities, fresh seafood, quaint downtowns, a fun-filled boardwalk, and other attractions.
“Attendees can experience sailing on Clear Lake, dining among local eateries, or strolling League Park’s historic oak-lined streets,” says Stephanie Polk, manager of League City CVB. “Meetings here are conducted in a relaxed, scenic setting with easy access to major airports, attractions, and the Gulf Coast.”
League City is home to the recently renovated South Shore Harbour Resort & Conference Center, which has 230 guest rooms and 25,000 square feet of event space. Hilton Houston NASA Clear Lake has 15,000 square feet of event space, and the Doyle Convention Center in Texas City offers 14,000 square feet of event space.
The 500-room Great Wolf Lodge, less than two miles from Space Center Houston, features 13,351 square feet of function space; its largest space can accommodate up to 930 people. The Ball Park at League City has a 20,000-square-foot indoor pavilion and accommodates up to 800.
Additional Bay Area venue options include Butler’s Courtyard in League City—ideal for receptions and weddings—and Johnnie Arolfo Civic Center for mid-sized meetings.
