Beaumont offers a “Texas Twist” unlike any other, according to Shannon Mires, director of sales for Beaumont CVB. “Our location in the southeastern corner of the state gives us a cultural vibe that’s both Texan and Cajun,” Mires says. “Groups gathering here get a taste of everything from Tex-Mex to Zydeco and many wonderful venues, amenities, and attractions.”
Beaumont features 200,000 square feet of event space and 3,700 guest rooms. Doggett Ford Park, just off Interstate 10, offers 83,000 square feet of space, with a capacity of 1,000 guests. The downtown Beaumont Civic Center offers 41,000 square feet of space, with a seating capacity of 2,192 theater style. The Downtown Event Centre features 16,000 square feet and can accommodate up to 350 for seated dinners.
Hotels with meeting space include the 252-room Holiday Inn & Suites Beaumont-Plaza, which features 22,000 square feet of meeting space, and MCM Eleganté Hotel and Conference Center, now under new ownership, which can accommodate up to 1,200 people. New hotels opening this year include a 96-room TownePlace Suites by Marriott and LivSmart Studios by Hilton.
