Birmingham begins $5 million renovation of BJCC Sheraton lobby

BIRMINGHAM, Ala.—Birmingham Jefferson Convention Complex has announced the start of the renovation of the Sheraton Birmingham hotel lobby and its public spaces. The facelift is part of a series of investments in the hotels owned by BJCC, which will include community areas and guest rooms. The design will celebrate Birmingham’s steel heritage with rich colors and textures while incorporating elements of Southern hospitality and tailored sophistication.

DFW Airport unveils $9 billion renovation project plan

DALLAS—Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) unveiled plans for its nearly $9 billion capital improvement plan, called “DFW Forward,” which will transform terminals, add new facilities and amenities, grow the number of gates, improve roadways and connectivity, and enhance the airfield. This marks the airport’s largest capital investment since it first opened in 1974.
