Clemson University Outdoor Lab, located five miles from the university, has eight distinct venues, including Kresge Hall, which accommodates up to 150 guests, and Cannon Chapel/ Pavilion, which has a stone-and-brick amphitheater and can host up to 250 people. The Outdoor Lab also boasts several indoor/outdoor event spaces for smaller groups and overnight accommodations in one – or two-bedroom suites and cabins.
Clemson’s Madren Conference Center features a 120-seat auditorium, a 10,000-square-foot outdoor pavilion, and seminar rooms with a capacity of 300 guests. Nearby amenities include the 62-room James F. Martin Inn for guest accommodations, Walker Golf Course, and Sole on the Green restaurant.
South Carolina Botanical Garden near the university has several event spaces, including Heritage Amphitheater, which seats 400, and Hayden Conference Center, which can accommodate up to 50 people in its largest rooms.
Clemson’s Shepherd Hotel boasts rooftop space and an open-air terrace bar for receptions and parties, while the 36-room Inn at Patrick Square features 1,830 square feet of divisible meeting space for up to 150 people. The newly renovated Best Western Plus Clemson Hotel & Conference Center, one mile from the university, has 6,200 square feet of flexible ballroom space for up to 600 people. A nearby Holiday Inn Express & Suites Clemson – University Area, an IHG Hotel has 1,250 square feet of event space for up to 70 seated guests.
