Whether visiting for pleasure or business, the border city of Del Rio offers local dining and shopping, a plethora of outdoor adventures, and unique cultural and historic experiences, according to ExploreDelRio.com. Outdoor experiences include hunting, fishing, hiking, and kayaking at Amistad National Recreation Area or at Seminole Canyon State Park/Historic Site, which features ancient rock art dating back 4,000 years.

The largest event facility, Del Rio Civic Center includes two primary convention halls with a maximum event capacity of 1,305, plus four additional meeting rooms. According to the website, there are more than 600 convention-quality guest rooms throughout the city and at Lake Amistad. Ramada by Wyndham Del Rio, located near Amistad National Recreation Area, features 6,000 square feet of event space, including eight meeting rooms, to accommodate up to 300 guests.

Val Verde Winery, crafting wine for more than 141 years, offers tastings and includes a small event space.
