ATLANTA—Epicurean Atlanta has named Jaime Cubias as executive chef and Kate Weber as catering sales manager. The Midtown hotel says the appointments are part of a renewed focus on chef-driven dining and high-impact meetings and events.
“These appointments reflect where Epicurean Atlanta is headed,” says Alex Amato, general manager of Epicurean Atlanta. “Jaime brings deep, hands-on culinary leadership shaped by luxury hotels and chef-driven restaurants, while Kate understands how to translate that creativity into flawlessly executed, revenue-generating events. Together, they raise the bar across every guest touchpoint.”
Cubias brings 20 years of experience in fine dining, luxury hotels, and high-volume restaurant concepts. A graduate of Le Cordon Bleu Miami, he most recently served as executive chef at Hotel Grenada, where he led the property’s culinary pre-opening, developed menus, and established vendor partnerships and cost controls. Previous roles included executive sous chef at Superica Dunwoody and leadership positions at The Optimist, Waldorf Astoria Atlanta Buckhead, The Knickerbocker Hotel, and Viceroy Anguilla. At Epicurean Atlanta, Cubias will oversee culinary operations across the hotel’s restaurants, events, and experiential programming, with a focus on menu development and operational management.
Weber joins the hotel from District Events & Catering, where she served as sales manager and oversaw new business development and event execution. Her background includes roles with Alchemy Event Studio, Talk of the Town Catering, and Bold Catering & Design, with experience spanning corporate meetings, social events, and large-scale group gatherings. In her new role, Weber will lead catering sales and event execution, working with culinary and operations teams to coordinate meetings and special events at the property.
Epicurean Atlanta has 178 guest rooms and more than 11,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and multiple dining venues. The hotel is part of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection portfolio.
