“Fairfax County really is where all of the lines intersect for meeting planners,” according to Dean Miller, national sales manager for Visit Fairfax, the county’s award-winning DMO. “With all of the nation’s capital area at our doorstep, access via two major airports (IAD and DCA), road, rail, and the Washington Metro system, as well as our incredible collection of three- and four-star hotels, Fairfax County checks off all three boxes on every planner’s “must-have” checklist: desirability, accessibility, and affordability.”
And things just keep getting better, Miller adds. “We now have Metrorail service running from Tysons, Reston, and Herndon to Dulles International Airport, making getting around even easier than ever. We’re also bringing all sorts of new attractions online.”
The Perch, an urban park located eleven stories above the ground in Tysons, features a biergarten, amphitheater, mini golf, food trucks, and much more. “In 2026, we’ll celebrate America’s 250th birthday with all sorts of special activities, including exhibits tied to the birth of our country at George Washington’s Mount Vernon, the National Museum of the United States Army, and other historic attractions around the country.”
