SAN ANTONIO, Texas—Luxury hotel Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk is starting on a nearly $9 million renovation project to transform the hotel’s lobby and public spaces. This includes an elevated coffee service at Spoonful Provisions, the installation of Tejas Lounge, and a new dining concept called Moda Fare. The renovation is expected to be completed by early March 2025, and the hotel will stay open throughout the renovation process.
“We are thrilled to begin this exciting new chapter for Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk by debuting an enhanced hotel experience just in time for (NCAA) March Madness and the busy spring season,” says Philip Stamm, area vice president and general manager of Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk. “The project will blend premier luxury with functionality to provide an unparalleled River Walk experience, complete with a sophisticated design, elevated dining, and a brand-new coffee house for our guests and local community.”
The new lobby experience includes modern check-in desks, dark wood accents, and crystal chandeliers.
Tejas Lounge, a Texas-inspired space, will offer a cocktail menu in a cozy mid-century modern-inspired space. The hotel’s current Bar Rojo will be replaced with Italian dining concept Moda Fare, featuring floor-to-ceiling windows and a garden-style patio for dining al fresco. Perks Coffee will change into an upscale coffee house named Spoonful Provisions, offering a selection of premium coffee roasters and grab-and-go food selections.
Grand Hyatt San Antonio River Walk, on San Antonio’s famous waterway, has more than 1,000 guest rooms and 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space.
