Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay Golf Resort, Spa and Marina has announced the completion of a multimillion-dollar renovation to its meeting and event spaces.
Through the project, the resort’s ballrooms and pre-function spaces have been completely transformed to provide a “modern and sophisticated meeting experience on Maryland’s Eastern Shore,” according to property officials.
“We are thrilled to debut our enhanced meeting spaces here at our beautiful waterfront resort in Cambridge,” says Cari Ruppert, director of sales, marketing, and events. “The renovation pulls inspiration from our waterfront setting, from wavy calming patterns to blue tones for an inviting and sophisticated atmosphere. We look forward to welcoming groups to our resort to take part in the updated meeting experience this year.”
The project completely upgraded the resort’s Chesapeake Ballroom, Choptank Ballroom, and pre-function space with brand-new carpeting, wall coverings, lighting fixtures and sconces, and artwork.
In addition to the newly renovated ballrooms, Hyatt Regency Chesapeake Bay boasts 85,000 square feet of outdoor event space, including the Regatta Pavilion, which is backdropped by views of the scenic Choptank River. Additional outdoor spaces include the Breakwater Pavilion, which is located several hundred feet offshore at the end of a private dock; the Grand Fireplace Patio which is backdropped by a stone fireplace with sweeping views of the Crescent Pool and Choptank River; and the Manor Lawn, an expansive lawn located adjacent to River Marsh Golf Club’s 18th hole. Additionally, the resort provides the Bluepoint Provisions venue which features a spacious deck and a lawn that connects to the beach, complemented by indoor space with floor-to-ceiling windows.
The renovation project was completed by RD Jones + Associates, a design firm based in Chevy Chase, Md. According to a news release, the space’s new color palette was changed from bright oranges and vibrant blues to more neutral gray and blue tones “to invite a calm and inviting atmosphere reflective of the resort’s soothing waterfront location.” The new plush carpet features wavy patterns with a range of blues accented by intricate gold patterns. The space has been refreshed with grey and light beige wall coverings, lighting fixtures, and modern wall sconces,
