
Islamorada, Fla.—Islamorada Resort Collection, a group of boutique resorts in the Florida Keys, has expanded its leadership team with the appointment of five executives. The appointments are being made throughout the resort collection’s three properties: Amara Cay Resort, La Siesta Resort & Villas, and Three Waters Resort & Marina, a Tribute Portfolio Resort, set to open in October.
Hicham El Ibrik has been named resort manager for Three Waters Resort & Marina. Ibrik was promoted to resort manager after serving as the complex director of F&B at Islamorada Resort Collection for the past year. During that time, he made notable contributions to all three properties, including curating menus for nine new dining concepts at Three Waters Resort & Marina. Ibrik’s exceptional leadership skills are valued in his new role, where he will not only elevate the dining experience but also enhance the overall resort experience through programming, creating personalized experiences, and guest engagement. Prior to joining Islamorada Resort Collection, he held leadership roles at the nearby Cheeca Lodge and Morada Bay.
Also at Three Waters Resort & Marina, Michael David Carpenter has been appointed director of rooms. Carpenter brings more than a decade of experience in hotel and resort management to Three Waters Resort & Marina. In his previous role at the 4 Star Ocean Key Resort & Spa in Key West, Carpenter led his team to meet all their guest satisfaction and quality assurance goals. Additionally, he played a crucial role in the successful launch of the first franchised Kimpton in 2019, achieving the highest guest satisfaction rating across the brand. Carpenter’s expertise in guest experiences and the Florida Keys will drive the continued excellence at the premier resort destination.
Vanessa Calto has been selected as director of F&B for Three Waters Resort & Marina. From Miami to Atlanta to Half Moon Bay (Bahamas), Calto has held multiple managerial roles in hotels and resorts across the country. With a background in luxury hospitality, including experience as an F&B manager for multiple Ritz-Carlton properties and as general manager at Sea Island Co., Calto brings a wealth of elevated expertise to Three Waters Resort & Marina. Calto’s creativity and passion for the culinary industry will be evident at the resort’s nine dining establishments put it on the map as a leading culinary destination in Florida.
Sarah Will has been appointed resort Manager for Amara Cay Resort. A hospitality manager known for her determination and approachable demeanor, Will is dedicated to enhancing the guest experience at Amara Cay Resort. She previously served as the hotel’s director of rooms; prior to joining Amara Cay Resort, Will was front office manager at the former Pelican Cove Resort & Marina and Postcard Inn Resort & Marina, which is now Three Waters Resort & Marina. Her extensive hands-on experience in hotel management and marketing, and knowledge of the Islamorada Resort Collection is invaluable as she steps into her new role.
Molly Marzan Colon has been promoted director of food and beverage for La Siesta Resort & Villas and for Amara Cay Resort. Colon has served as assistant director of food and beverage for Islamorada Resort Collection for the past year. As assistant director of F&B, Colon brought new, creative concepts and strategic insights to Islamorada Resort Collection. Her luxury hotel experience includes restaurant outlets manager, F&B outlets task force manager, and F&B outlets supervisor across four Ritz-Carlton properties. Colon will be a strong asset as Islamorada Resort Collection continues to introduce new culinary experiences.
