Set at the headwaters of the Guadalupe River, Kerrville embodies the strength and resilience of Texas hospitality, according to Leslie Jones, publicity/communications manager for Kerrville CVB. “Our community faced unprecedented challenges in July 2025, when catastrophic flooding impacted our region, but we have emerged stronger, more united, and more committed than ever to welcoming visitors and groups to our beautiful Hill Country destination, where you can craft your own adventure,” she says. “Kerrville is open for business and actively welcoming meetings, events, and conferences. Our major hotels, conference facilities, restaurants, and attractions are operational and ready to serve groups with the same exceptional service that has always defined our destination. What makes us truly special is not only our recovery but also how our community came together, demonstrating authentic Texas spirit and our genuine hospitality.”
There are approximately 1,000 guest rooms in Kerrville. The 165-room Inn of the Hills Hotel & Conference Center has 22,000 square feet of meeting and event space, and a full-service restaurant. Y.O. Ranch Hotel & Conference Center has 191 guest rooms, an 8,025-square-foot ballroom, and an additional 2,578 square feet of convention facilities. Hill Country Youth Event Center offers 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space, plus outdoor recreational opportunities, while Schreiner University has meeting space for smaller conferences and retreats. The Museum of Western Art features indoor space to accommodate 160 guests and outdoor venues for 220 guests.
Segments of the Kerrville River Trails have reopened, though restoration continues. Louis Hays Park is completing restoration, including improvements to accessibility. Many downtown businesses have reopened after completing repairs and renovations, including The Arcadia Theater’s state-of-the-art concert space.
