
LEESBURG, Va.—Lansdowne Resort in northern Virginia has promoted Babou Saine to director of hotel operations, following his two-year tenure as resort manager.
In his new role, Saine is responsible for business processes related to managing guest rooms, event space, food and beverage, engineering, security, and other areas. He will also implement and monitor new customer-service initiatives throughout the facility.
“Babou’s exceptional leadership strengths and keen eye for detail have benefited our resort for the last two years,” says Carol Smith, managing director of Lansdowne Resort. “We are thrilled that his dedication and vision will drive us to new heights as he assumes this new position.”
Saine has nearly 20 years of experience working at hotels throughout the Washington, D.C., Metro area, including eight years with The Ritz-Carlton. His previous positions included director of rooms, director of front-office operations, and hotel manager. As resort manager, Saine oversaw an 11-percent increase in guest-service scores in 2024, the highest year-over-year rise on record at Lansdowne.
