ARLINGTON, Texas – Loews Hotels is planning a 500-room, $410 million hotel development in Arlington, Texas’ entertainment district.
As reported by local TV station WFAA, the plan was approved by Arlington City Council earlier this month.
The hotel will replace the current Arlington Sheraton hotel, located near Choctaw Stadium, according to the article.
Loews Hotels’ proposed new property will have 25,000 square feet of convention and event space, according to information shared at a recent city council meeting.
In the article, a company spokesperson confirmed a third hotel in Arlington is in the works, but stated the central focus is on the 888-room Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center, across from Choctaw Stadium, set to open this February.
WFAA reports the development plan on the city’s website says the Sheraton will be demolished in September 2026.
