MONTGOMERY, Texas—Margaritaville Lake Resort Lake Conroe | Houston has announced a series of key promotions within its sales department, recognizing the contributions and growth of several team members.
Jessica Thornbrough has been named director of sales. A local native, Thornbrough has approximately 15 years of hospitality experience and has been with the resort since its opening in 2020, when she started as sales manager. Resort leadership cited her background in sales and catering and her passion for the resort as reasons she was selected for the leadership role.
Alex Trego has been promoted to group sales manager after serving two years as catering sales manager. Trego began her career in Silicon Valley and later joined Margaritaville Lake Resort as a sales, marketing, and membership administrator.
Samantha Smullen will step into the role of catering sales manager, focusing on weddings and corporate events. Smullen previously interned with the resort and served in event roles at two of the largest restaurants in Texas.
The resort also announced the addition of Ava Tweto as a sales and marketing administrative assistant. A recent graduate of Kent State University, Tweto previously worked at LandShark Bar & Grill for three years.
