MIAMI BEACH, Fla.—Thompson Miami Beach has appointed Mariana Hauri as senior sales manager of groups, in charge of securing group business and corporate events, as part of the hotel’s opening team. The hotel is expected to open this fall on Washington Avenue in Miami Beach.
A seasoned hospitality professional, Hauri has more than 15 years of industry experience. She most recently served as sales manager for EAST Miami, spearheading groups and corporate sales for the 352-key luxury property in Brickell. Prior to her role at EAST Miami, Hauri served on the opening and sales leadership team for Gale Miami Hotel & Residences, where she oversaw several properties under Menin Hospitality and GFO Investments. During her tenure as director of sales, Hauri successfully managed the 87-key Gale South Beach, Curio Collection by Hilton and the 260-key Shelborne South Beach in Miami Beach. Hauri’s experience also includes restaurant group dining and special events, with previous tenures at 50 Eggs and Cafeina Wynwood Lounge.
“Having opened new hotels and managed multi-property portfolios throughout my career, Thompson Miami Beach represents an exciting evolution in group business,” says Hauri. “We’ve thoughtfully curated capabilities for occasions of any scale, from intimate corporate gatherings to memorable social events. Today’s planners are seeking more than just meeting spaces; they’re looking to create unmatched, unique guest experiences. With Thompson’s signature style woven throughout the hotel, a highly anticipated rooftop destination, and prime location steps from the Miami Beach Convention Center and the city’s hotspots, we’re perfectly positioned to deliver those transformative moments that attendees will remember long after check-out.”
Set in the heart of South Beach, Thompson Miami Beach will offer 147 luxury guest rooms and suites with private terraces and floor-to-ceiling windows.
Designed by French architect Rudy Ricciotti, with interiors by internationally recognized designer Gulla Jónsdóttir, the hotel will feature a variety of onsite venues, including a rooftop pool and a signature restaurant with panoramic views of the city. On the fourth floor, a hidden open-air atrium courtyard will serve as a private setting for small gatherings and curated programming. The first floor includes the Soundscape Room, a spacious meeting venue equipped with audiovisual capabilities for seated or standing-room events. For private receptions or social events, the third-floor Thompson Suite Terrace wraps around the Thompson King Suite and accommodates up to 40 guests in an outdoor setting.
