Paducah offers a diverse dining scene and many family-friendly events and attractions, Caronongan says. “Our events calendar is always updated with live music, art workshops, events, and more to ensure everyone enjoys their visit. Our downtown galleries and museums are within walking distance of the convention center, and downtown is home to guilds and collectives offering an array of selections for everyone’s tastes.” Meeting attendees can enjoy the outdoors at the Paducah Riverfront and Greenway Trail, strolling on foot or biking with the available rental bikes.
Located downtown, Paducah McCracken County Convention and Expo Center is a 100,000-square-foot complex under one roof, with a 200-booth capacity Expo Center, 17 event rooms, and a maximum meeting capacity of 2,000. The adjacent 123-room Holiday Inn Paducah Riverfront has 1,650 square feet of function space to seat 132 theater style.
Additional event space includes the 1857 Hotel and Event Center, offering a modern industrial design and 14 boutique hotel rooms, three condos, and space to seat up to 175 guests indoors, plus additional outdoor patio space; Carson Four Rivers Center for the Performing Arts, with four event spaces to accommodate 1,806 theater style, 700 reception guests, or a 240-person banquet; Commonwealth Event Center, with event space options for up to 650 guests; historic Market House Theatre, with a 234-seat theater and a banquet capacity of 150 guests; Manea Vineyards, with a 300-person event capacity; and Emerging Technology Center at West Kentucky Community and Technical College, which seats 225 theater style.
The National Quilt Museum has three galleries highlighting a contemporary collection of award-winning quilts and ever-changing thematic exhibitions, and also offers workshops by world-class fiber artists. The museum can host a dinner for 72 or reception for 200 guests.
