Plano Event Center boasts more than 86,400 square feet of flexible function space, in-house catering, and other amenities for gatherings of up to 5,000 people. The venue’s $3.2 million courtyard renovation, scheduled for completion soon, will add extensive shaded areas and expanded hardscape for special events.
Plano offers more than 7,400 guest accommodations and nearly 60 hotels. “Meeting planners love that three of Plano’s four walkable entertainment districts are located outside the doors of their respective convention hotels,” notes Mark W. Thompson, CDME, CMP, executive director for Visit Plano,
The 417-room Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Town Center anchors The Shops at Legacy outdoor shopping and dining district and has 31,515 square feet of meeting space. Legacy West, Plano’s newest entertainment/dining/retail use district, is home to Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel. The property has 34,869 square feet of event space for up to 1,584 people theater style and 1,200 for receptions.
Adjacent to The Boardwalk at Granite Park, another mixed-use development, the 300-room Hilton Dallas/Plano Granite Park has 33,833 square feet of event space, including 19 meeting rooms. The hotel
can host 1,300 people theater style in its largest space.
Legacy Hall, an artisanal food hall at Legacy West, offers more than 20 stalls featuring locally curated artisanal vendors. Culinary delights run the gamut, from lobster rolls and sushi to hamburgers and duck-fat fried chicken. Legacy Hall also has an onsite brewery, an outdoor entertainment stage, and several event spaces for private events. The venue accommodates up to 2,500 people.
For teambuilding and additional event space, Fowling Warehouse offers groups a mash-up of football, bowling, and dining options. Other amenities include a VIP room with six private lanes, a private 30-foot bar, and lounge-seating areas.
