OCEAN CITY, Md. – Ashore Resort & Beach Club (Ashore), a newly reimagined upscale resort destination set on a beachfront location in Ocean City, Md., has officially opened. Following a property-wide renovation to be completed this spring, Ashore features panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Assawoman Bay, oceanside food and beverage service and amenities, a new 3,000-square-foot deck, new restaurant concepts, and beachfront entertainment.
Previously known as the Ocean City Fontainebleau Resort, the property was purchased in 2022 by a joint venture between an affiliate of Certares Real Estate Management (Certares) and affiliates of Monomoy Property Ventures (MPV) and Highlands Investments.
The resort features 250 fully renovated guest rooms and suites, including 15 multi-room suites, catering to individuals, families, and groups of all sizes. New guest rooms are designed with modern décor in earthtones and feature plush bedding, new lighting fixtures, 55 in. flat-screen televisions, spacious modern bathrooms, and private balconies overlooking the beach.
In addition to its accommodations and dining options, Ashore offers 14 meeting rooms with 40,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor flexible function spaces; a ballroom with 7,500 square feet that can accommodate 1,000 people; and a beachside pavilion suitable for wedding receptions, private beach parties, and teambuilding activities.
Ashore transforms into a picturesque wedding venue for those looking to celebrate their special day. Offering four unique reception options, couples can choose between the Waterfront Beach Pavilion, Hibiscus Garden, The Shore Deck, and the Atlantic Ballroom. Wedding packages offer a wide variety of offerings from special discounted room rates and guest room amenities to complimentary menu tastings and suite upgrades for newlyweds.

Ownership has partnered with HEI Hotels and Resorts, a hotel and resort operator, on the programming and management of the property.
