Along the Gulf Coast, between Galveston and Corpus Christi, the city of Rockport and the neighboring town of Fulton in Aransas County offer diverse event venues, a scenic coastal backdrop, and accessibility, making the area an appealing choice for meeting and event planners.
Venues include the 10,113-square-foot Fulton Convention Center on Aransas Bay, which accommodates up to 575 people, and Rockport Conference Center, with a capacity of 400. Offering views of Aransas Bay and a wildlife sanctuary, Rockport Beach’s 3,800-square-foot Saltwater Pavilion can accommodate 200 guests. Aransas County Airport Community Hangar has 10,000 square feet of open space and accommodates 500 seated guests, with a capacity of 1,000 standing guests for parties and receptions. More event space options are available at Rockport Yacht Club and the Texas Maritime Museum and Education Center.
Area hotels include the 87-room Fairfield Inn and Suites, the 44-room Inn at Fulton Harbor, and the 78-room Lighthouse Inn at Aransas Bay; all have space available for smaller, more intimate gatherings of 75 or fewer people.
Area dining options include Copano’s in Rockport, which serves steaks, seafood, and signature craft cocktails. Gabriela’s Seafood + Tapas, overlooking Aransas Bay, offers a chef-driven menu of fresh local seafood and is also available for private events.
New dining options include Dock at Marker 12 at Cove Harbor Marina and SR Boil House on Highway 35. PIK-NIK Culinary Market + Deli + Wine Bar serves seasonal pasta, soups, salads, creative sandwiches, and other snacks. Customers can enjoy a glass of wine at the bar, lounge room, or patio. Bay Area Brewing in Rockport offers “creatively dressed beers” and alternatives like Texas ciders, draft coffee, kombucha, and sodas.
