NASHVILLE, Tenn.—Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown has appointed Lindsay Whalen as its new food and beverage director. Whalen’s prior experience includes positions with Noelle Nashville, and Hilton Downtown and Hilton Green Hills, both in Nashville.
As F&B director, Whalen will manage all aspects of F&B operations at Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown, including menu planning, cost analysis, purchasing, inventory management, and staffing for all onsite dining concepts.
Born and raised in Lynnfield, Mass., Whalen began her journey within the hospitality industry at age 15, while looking for jobs to supplement school costs. Whalen fell in love with how fast-paced, challenging, and ever-changing the industry could be.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in Music Industry/Vocal Performance at Northeastern University, Whalen combined her hospitality experience with her music and business education—increasing revenue for each hotel and restaurant where she has worked by maintaining musical bookings and curating events. She credits her love of the industry, lifelong friendships, and passion and dedication as the driving forces behind her 25-year tenure in hospitality.
Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown is the second property to open from Hilton’s new and stylish contemporary lifestyle brand. It is located within a half-mile of Nashville’s top attractions, including the Bridgestone Arena and Music City Center.
