NASHVILLE, Tenn. – HRI Hospitality has announced two appointments to lead the opening of Tempo by Hilton Nashville Downtown, welcoming Rick Schatz as general manager and Ronni Anderson as director of sales and marketing.
The new hotel is scheduled to open in spring 2024 adjacent to Nashville Yards in the city’s downtown. In their new roles, Schatz and Anderson will oversee the property’s 306 rooms, multiple food and beverage concepts including Nashville’s first Bluestone Lane café, a 1,000-square-foot fitness center, outdoor pool, event lawn, fifth-floor sky lobby with expansive views of downtown, and 10,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
Schatz brings nearly 25 years of experience managing and operating hotels across the United States. Most recently, Schatz served as general manager at the dual-branded Hyatt Place Hyatt House Indianapolis Downtown, overseeing the hotel opening and daily operations of the 316-room property. Before that, he held resort manager and director of operations roles at lifestyle properties in Cape Cod and New Orleans. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Redlands.
With more than two decades of experience in the Greater Nashville market, Anderson previously held director of sales and marketing roles across several Nashville hotels. Her experience ranges from boutique lifestyle properties to large convention facilities, and she most recently served as the regional sales and marketing consultant for a hospitality group overseeing properties across the southern United States. Anderson is currently the vice president of the Global Business Travel Association’s Tennessee chapter and serves on the global association’s government relations committee.
“We are thrilled to welcome Rick and Ronni to the team,” says Larry Daniels, senior vice president of operations for HRI Lodging. “Their extensive tenure in the hospitality industry, coupled with Ronni’s 23 years of experience within the Nashville market, will undoubtedly elevate our guest experience and establish our hotel as a premier destination in the heart of Music City.”
