MIAMI—The Ritz-Carlton, South Beach and The Ritz-Carlton, Bal Harbour, Miami have appointed Stephen Power as general manager of both properties. Power will oversee operations of both hotels.
With more than 20 years of experience in luxury hospitality, Power has worked across renowned brands and diverse regions. His journey in hospitality began in F&B at Westchester Marriott in Tarrytown, N.Y., which set the stage for an impressive career trajectory.
Most recently, Power served as general manager of The St. Regis Bal Harbour Resort, where his leadership resulted in a 6.2-point increase in Intent to Recommend scores and employee engagement levels of up to 92 percent. Under his direction, the resort earned the prestigious Forbes Five-Star Award in 2024.

His exceptional leadership was further demonstrated during his tenure as general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, San Francisco, where he sustained a 90-plus-percent employee engagement score for three consecutive years.
Beyond his on-property leadership roles, Power has actively contributed to hospitality through his involvement in several task force teams for the opening of full-service hotels and on the board of Los Angeles/Westwood Business Council.
Power obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pa., and has received multiple accolades throughout his career, including the Talent Leadership Award for luxury hotels in 2021.
“I am thrilled to join and lead the teams of these two distinguished, award-winning resorts,” Power says. “I look forward to further elevating the experiences of these iconic Miami resorts and creating unforgettable memories for guests for which The Ritz-Carlton is celebrated.”
