VIRGINIA BEACH, Va.—Virginia Beach Convention & Visitors Bureau (VBCVB) announced Virginia Beach Convention Center has successfully retained LEED Gold Certification. As the nation’s first convention center to achieve this distinction as an existing building in 2010, the facility has continued to set the standard for sustainability for more than a dozen years.
Developed by the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the world’s most widely recognized green building rating system. It symbolizes excellence and a commitment to environmental stewardship. Through innovative design, construction, and operational practices enhancing environmental and human health, LEED-certified buildings pave the way toward a more sustainable future.

Virginia Beach Convention Center has dedicated full-service event managers to assist with every detail, ensuring the success of events of all sizes in the building’s more than 515,000 square feet of function space. Comprehensive utility services are available throughout the entire facility. The center features 22 contiguous loading docks located next to the exhibit hall and ballroom for easy access.
