SANDY SPRINGS, Ga.—Visit Sandy Springs’ Board of Directors has selected Adam Berrios as its executive director.
Prior to this role, Berrios served as vice president of sales and services with Little Rock (Ark.) Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB), where he directed and planned all activities of the sales department, group travel and client services, and the destination services team. Before Little Rock CVB, Berrios was senior sales manager for VisitGreenvilleSC. He also served as senior sales manager for Alpharetta (Ga.) CVB from 2011 to 2016.
“As my career has taken me around the Southeast over the past decade, Sandy Springs has remained on my mind. I look forward to returning to the region and sharing how much it has grown with meeting planners and visitors all over the country,” says Berrios.
Sandy Springs Mayor Rusty Paul, chairman of Visit Sandy Springs, led the national search in filling the executive director’s position.
“We are excited to have Adam lead the Visit Sandy Springs team and the future of tourism in our destination,” Paul says. “Adam brings a wealth of experience from other destination marketing organizations and has proven to be a tremendous leader with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of business development in the tourism realm. Between his previous sales and marketing experience and his knowledge and love for this area, I have no doubt Adam will position Visit Sandy Springs as a top contender for meetings, conventions, and sporting events, helping to drive more tourism and direct spending to our destination.”
Visit Sandy Springs is the destination marketing organization for the City of Sandy Springs, Ga., located directly north of and bordering the Atlanta city limits.
