
WILMINGTON, N.C.—Wilmington and Beaches Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB) has promoted Molly Johnson, CMP-Fellow, to vice president of sales and services. She has been with the CVB since 2015, previously serving as director of convention sales.
Johnson has more than 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry, including sales and operations. She currently serves on the Meeting Professionals International Chapter and Member Advisory Council, as well as the Sustainability Advisory Council. She is a past president of the Southeast Chapter of Professional Conference Management Association (PCMA) and a past president of the Carolinas Chapter of Meeting Professionals International. She has won numerous awards, most recently the PCMA Southeast Chapter 2023 President’s Award, PCMA Global Chair’s 2022 Award, and AENC 2022 Outstanding Affiliate Member Award.
In addition, Johnson spends her free time serving on the Board of Directors for A Safe Place, a local nonprofit, and the Event Industry Council Governance Commission, which oversees the Certified Meeting Professional credential.
