JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Visit Jacksonville has welcomed Jeanne Goldschmidt to its team as director of convention sales.
She brings more than 15 years of leadership experience within convention facilities and tourism organizations to the position.
As a member of Visit Jacksonville’s executive leadership team, Goldschmidt oversees the sales team and is responsible for the sales department’s development and execution of strategies and tactics promoting and selling the city as a destination for meetings, conventions, groups, sporting events, and more.
Most recently, Goldschmidt was the executive director of the Aspen Institute for Technology. Prior to that, she served as the executive director at the Pasadena Convention & Visitors Bureau for more than five of her 11 years with the organization. She also previously worked at the Connecticut Convention Center, Rhode Island Convention Center, and Providence-Warwick Convention and Visitors Bureau in various senior managerial positions.
Goldschmidt received her Bachelor of Science in hospitality sales and meeting management from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I.
