LAS VEGAS, Nev. – MGM Resorts International (MGM) has restored IT systems at its resorts and casinos across the country after a cyber-attack last week.
In a statement released late Tuesday (Sept. 19), the company says, “Our resort services, dining, entertainment, pools, and spas are operating normally and welcoming thousands of guests each day. Our gaming floors, including slots, table games, and poker games are open. Visitors to our properties may use Slot Dollars and FREEPLAY, and our slots are recording gaming spend. Our slot ticket-in/ticket-out systems are up and running, and our amazing employees are available to help guests with any intermittent issues. We thank you for your patience and look forward to welcoming you soon.”
However, according to an article from Casino.org, some customers continue to report that they are facing service issues. The article states while services such as dining and longue reservations, entertainment, and spa services can now be booked online, several MGM casinos require guests to reserve their rooms by calling the property. Casino.org also reports mobile check-in services and kiosks remain offline, and digital room keys are unavailable, leading to long lines to check in and check out.
MGM, along with Caesar’s Entertainment, announced last week it had been the victim of a “cybersecurity attack. In response, the company shut down its IT systems.
