NORTH REDINGTON BEACH, Fla. – DoubleTree Beach Resort by Hilton has completed an extensive renovation project in North Redington Beach, Fla.

“We’re kicking off the season with a fresh new look,” says general manager Mike Hook. “This is a great time to visit our property. Guests will love the beach-elegant vibe, the resort amenities, and, as ever, our ideal position just 150 feet from the Gulf of Mexico.”

Nestled on central Florida’s west coast, DoubleTree Beach Resort Tampa Bay-North Redington Beach underwent a floor-to-ceiling upgrade that delivered enhanced amenities and updated public spaces and guest rooms all while retaining its beachfront charm. The seven-story, 125-room hotel is owned and operated by OTO Development, which is part of The Johnson Group.

Public space improvements include a new, well-equipped fitness center; upgraded meeting space with ocean views; and a resurfaced deck around the sparkling outdoor pool.

Guest rooms boast remodeled bathrooms and updated furnishings along with the addition of refrigerators and microwaves. Most rooms have balconies overlooking the Gulf and many on the non-Gulf side enjoy water views of Boca Ciega Bay.

DoubleTree’s restaurant and tiki hut have been rebranded as Coconut Charlie’s Beach Bar & Grill. Open to locals as well as hotel guests, the venue offers casual bites at the beach bar and a more elevated menu at the grill; an extensive drinks list offers everything from handcrafted cocktails to boozy slushies to local brews. Seating is available inside or out on a spacious veranda overlooking the warm, emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

Coconut Charlie’s is a concept conceived by OTO Development. In addition to its original location at Hilton Garden Inn in nearby St. Pete Beach, Fla., Coconut Charlie’s has locations at Hyatt Place in Panama City Beach, Fla., and Homewood Suites in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

“DoubleTree Beach Resort’s on-the-Gulf location already made it the most desirable hotel in the area,” says Hook. “With the completion of this fantastic renovation and the launch of Coconut Charlie’s, we can elevate the guest experience even more.”
