ORLANDO, Fla.—Rosen Hotels & Resorts is renovating guest rooms, corridors, event facilities, and parking areas at Rosen Plaza and Rosen Shingle Creek in a project the company says will exceed $150 million.
The renovation is the largest in the brand’s 52-year history and includes 2,300 guest rooms, suites, and corridors across the two convention hotels. Work at Rosen Plaza is scheduled for completion this fall, while renovations at Rosen Shingle Creek, the company’s flagship property, are expected to conclude in 2027.
At Rosen Shingle Creek, the project includes upgrades to 524,000 square feet of event space. The hotel’s redesigned rooms will feature warm tones, walnut finishes, custom furnishings, sculptural lighting, and spa-inspired bathrooms with walk-in showers, travertine tile, and oil-rubbed bronze fixtures. It also receive next-generation Wi-Fi, smart-room technology, and parking improvements intended to improve traffic flow and accessibility.
U.S. News & World Report named Rosen Shingle Creek Orlando’s top convention hotel in 2026. The property is set on 255 acres along Shingle Creek.
Rosen Plaza, located near Orlando’s convention district, will receive redesigned rooms with neutral and green color palettes, flexible work and relaxation areas, enhanced technology, and updated bathrooms. Planned features include walk-in showers, terrazzo flooring, Zellige-inspired wall tiles, custom amenities, and commissioned artwork.
“I cannot be more excited about this renovation because it represents a transformational moment for our company,” says Frank Santos, president and CEO at Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “Investing more than $150 million into these two iconic hotels demonstrates our unwavering commitment to providing world‑class accommodations and award-winning guest service to our guests and the hospitality industry. It’s simply amazing, and I know Harris Rosen, our late founder, would be proud.”
The project is being developed by the company’s in-house design team, which is working to give each hotel a distinct identity while incorporating contemporary design and technology.
“The best experiences start with strong concepts rooted in design, storytelling, and atmosphere,” says Jack Rosen, manager of design and brand strategies for Rosen Hotels & Resorts. “We’re bringing each property’s unique story to life, creating immersive environments that spark connection, evoke emotion, and reflect the local culture, all thoughtfully reimagined for the next generation of travelers.”
Dan Giordano, vice president of corporate planning and development at Rosen Hotels & Resorts, adds, “When we started visualizing this massive project, we set out to recreate what a hotel room could be, and the result is a blend of contemporary elegance and true hospitality warmth,” he says. “I know our guests will notice the difference the moment they open the door. They’ll notice everything from brighter spaces and richer materials to a sense of calm that carries through every corner. There is no doubt in my mind that, once complete, these rooms will set the standard in Orlando and the hospitality industry as a whole.”
