LOUDOUN COUNTY, Va.—Visit Loudoun has welcomed Heidi Hallows to its team, bringing more than 20 years of hospitality and tourism experience to the destination’s meetings and group business efforts.
Hallows joins Visit Loudoun from Choose Chicago, where she served as director of sales for the eastern region. Before moving into destination sales, she spent more than 17 years in the hotel industry, including sales leadership roles with Marriott.
Hallows began her career with Marriott International in 2007 and went on to serve as senior sales executive at the Marriott St. Louis Grand and Marriott Wardman Park in Washington, D.C.
Her experience spans both the hotel and destination sides of the meetings industry, giving her a perspective on how group business can benefit both hospitality partners and the broader community.
“I’m excited to begin this next chapter and bring more than 20 years of hospitality and tourism experience to a community that already has personal meaning to me,” says Hallows. I spent more than 17 years in the hotel industry before moving to destination sales for Choose Chicago. Representing an entire destination gave me a broader perspective on the meetings industry and an even greater appreciation for the impact groups and meetings can have on a community.
This job allows me to bring those two perspectives together while working alongside our team and industry partners to grow meetings and group business.”
When not working, Hallows says she likes to discover great restaurants, hunt for vintage treasures, and explore Virginia. She adds, “I look forward to discovering even more of Loudoun and getting to know the people who make its tourism community so special.”
In her new role, Hallows will work with the Visit Loudoun team and local industry partners to pursue meetings and group business for Loudoun County, Va.
