While Arlington might feel like a buzzing city with its vibrant neighborhoods, world-class dining, and urban sophistication, it is technically a county—“a compact, cool, and effortlessly connected one,” explains Portia Conerly, Stay Arlington sales director.

“Arlington delivers the ultimate attendee experience, blending convenience, culture, and connection. Think of Arlington as a city in spirit, with all the perks of urban living minus the big-city hassles,” she says.

Convene in Rosslyn features chef-driven catering, state-of-the-art audiovisual technology, and event space to host up to 500 people for receptions and 240 for theater seating. Virginia Tech Research Center – Arlington boasts sleek space for conferences, training, and professional development events, accommodating up to 100 for receptions, 90 for theater seating, and 60 for classroom seating. AAMI Conference Center can host events of up to 260 people, and the University of Virginia (UVA) Darden Sands Family Grounds accommodates gatherings of up to 250. AUSA Conference and Event Center, ideal for business meetings, workshops, and networking events, can host a capacity of 180 people for receptions and theater seating and 150 for banquets.

Hotels with event space include the 703-room Crystal Gateway Marriott, featuring more than 39,000 square feet of meeting space, and the 685-room Hyatt Regency Crystal City at Reagan National Airport, with 53,000 square feet of meeting space across 10 rooms.

Crystal City Marriott was recently updated and rebranded as AC Hotel by Marriott. A 331-room Hilton Arlington Rosslyn The Key is scheduled to open in fall 2025. It will feature approximately 28,000 square feet of event space, including a rooftop space with views of Washington, D.C. Developer JBG Smith’s $40 million office repositioning project, New National Landing Meeting Facility, will bring to Arlington a state-of-the-art meeting center with conference rooms of various sizes, including a 300-person event space. The space is expected to open in 2026.
