While Asheville is known for its breathtaking beauty and serene atmosphere, Connie Holliday, CMP, director of sales for Visit Asheville, notes the mountain town’s strength and resilience. “Following Hurricane Helene, our community came together with determination to restore, uplift, and reimagine, reaffirming Asheville’s place as a haven for meaningful gatherings and unforgettable experiences,” she says.

Hotels with event space include Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa, which has 513 guest rooms and 86,852 square feet of event space across 50 rooms. The hotel’s largest space, a 17,760-square-foot grand ballroom, can accommodate up to 2,200 people theater style. Omni Grove Park Inn & Spa includes seven dining outlets, an 18-hole golf course, and a 50,000-square-foot sports complex. It recently restored its historic Main Inn and enhanced group options for after-hours private events
at its award-winning subterranean spa.

The Inn on Biltmore Estate recently completed a two-year redesign of guest rooms, corridors, and new event space, including a walled garden for up to 120 guests and a terrace with a capacity of 750.

Following significant flood renovations due to the impacts of Hurricane Helene, Grand Bohemian Asheville in Biltmore Village recently reopened. The hotel has updated the lobby, guest rooms, event spaces, and Red Stag Grill restaurant, an excellent option for breakout sessions, lunch meetings, and business dinners for up to 131 people. The renovation includes two enhanced small event spaces for 20 to 40 people, the Grand Bohemian Gallery, and the Manor House. Downtown Asheville’s newest hotel, The Moxy opened in 2024 and boasts a rooftop restaurant, Wildwood Still, featuring panoramic mountain views.

More than 300 miles of the Blue Ridge Parkway have reopened since Hurricane Helene. Construction is also underway for the transformative Beacon Bike Park and Events Lawn project in Swannanoa. Scheduled to open later this year, it will include a public walking trail, a bike park, and an outdoor music and event venue for concerts, festivals, and other events.

Beyond Asheville, groups can explore Black Mountain, a small town with a charming downtown and numerous restaurants, breweries, and shops. NC Glass Center has opened a new gallery, boutique, and glass-blowing shop in the town. Leicester, also in Buncombe County, is home to Durrant Farms—a luxury farm stay with event spaces and a “happy hour” with alpacas—and the family-owned boutique winery Addison Farms.

Asheville Regional Airport (AVL) is expected to open a portion of its new terminal this summer. The addition is part of a $400 million project, which includes new gates, boarding bridges, modern “smart” restrooms, and new concession areas.
