
ASHEVILLE, N.C.—Button Meana Group has reopened La Bodega by Cúrate in Asheville following Hurricane Helene last fall. Previously a restaurant, La Bodega is being reintroduced as an event venue.
“As our dedicated Asheville community continues to rebuild after Hurricane Helene’s devastation, we’re thrilled to lead La Bodega into its next chapter,” says Katie Button, chief brand officer, chef, and co-founder of Button Meana Group. “This versatile event space will offer guests a new, unique way to experience Asheville and everything the Cúrate brand has to offer, as well as celebrate life’s special moments with our cherished cuisine and warm hospitality.”
The multifunctional space is available for hosting corporate parties, dinners, wedding receptions, speaking events, live music, and cooking classes. Features include big windows with plenty of natural light over its two floors and flexible, customizable layout options. The second floor can host up to 90 people seated and 125 standing. Once the first floor is available for buyout, it will host up to 175 guests.
The in-house catering and bar service will be an extension of the James Beard Award-winning Cúrate Bar de Tapas curated by Chef Katie Button, offering Spanish fare like croquetas, pulpo a la plancha, and pan con tomate, Menus can be customized to the event. The space will also offer interactive experiences, such as Sangria making and Jamon carving, led by Cúrate’s team of experts.
“From the start, La Bodega has been a welcoming, communal place, connecting travelers and Asheville’s community through the Spanish experience with delicious food, and its new concept will carry on that legacy,” says Felix Meana, co-founder and chief experience officer of Button Meana Group. “We look forward to welcoming many old and new faces to the space and providing them with unforgettable and meaningful experiences.”
To celebrate the reopening, La Bodega is hosting a Pintxo Party with award-winning chef, author, and TV personality Edward Lee on March 19, with pintxos, drinks, and more. La Bodega also plans to host various community events, such as an upcoming collaborative dinner with Asheville’s Burial Beer and French Broad Chocolates. Bookings for other private events will be available immediately after March 19.
