ATLANTA—ATL Airport District CVB, the official destination marketing organization for College Park, Hapeville, and Union City, has hired Helen Scroggs as sales manager. Scroggs has worked for the CVB since January 2025, first as a contractor.
Scroggs has more than 20 years of experience in the industry as a leader in sales and meeting and event coordination, as well as experience as a small business owner.
“Helen has a rare blend of hands-on experience, infectious enthusiasm, and big-picture thinking, which makes her the ideal person to join our team in a full-time capacity,” says Mercedes Miller, president of the ATL Airport District. “Her background in large-scale event execution and community engagement makes her uniquely equipped to help grow our group business and underscore the District’s position as a premier destination for group travel.”
Previously, Scroggs was a member of the Atlanta CVB destination services team, where she built relationships with partners and stakeholders and supported the execution of city events. She also has experience serving as the convention registration manager for the International Woodworking Fair, LLC., where she managed registration for the country’s largest woodworking technology and design trade show, hosting more than 20,000 attendees.
Scroggs has a bachelor’s degree in hospitality management with a concentration in meeting and event planning from American Public University. Originally from Wales, United Kingdom, Scroggs became a U.S. citizen in 2005 and relocated to Atlanta with her family three years ago.
