Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau (ACVB) has announced the hiring of Emma Elder as national sales manager.
Elder joins ACVB to sell and market Atlanta as a destination for group meetings with 251 to 1,200 rooms on peak nights. Additionally, she will represent ACVB at trade shows while coordinating the participation of the organization’s partners.
Before joining ACVB, Elder owned a New England-based wedding planning company, Blue Heron Events. Before that, she was the sales and event manager at a boutique Vermont inn, overseeing sales for all events, room blocks, and ground bookings. Her responsibilities included crafting proposals and conducting property tours for potential clients.
Elder is a graduate of Ithaca College with a degree in integrated marketing communications and a minor in sociology.
