Located in Albemarle County, Charlottesville has 4,189 guest accommodations. It is the only city in Virginia to have two AAA Four Diamond hotels. One of these, the 170-room Boar’s Head Resort, has 22,000 square feet of event space and can host 630 seated theater style and 600 for receptions in its largest space, the recently refreshed 5,883-square-foot pavilion. Boar’s Head also features several outdoor event spaces, including a greenspace for 300.
Charlottesville’s other AAA Four Diamond property, Kimpton The Forum Hotel, has 198 guest rooms, more than 22,000 square feet of indoor event space, a large arboretum, and lush botanical gardens. The hotel’s largest space can host up to 396 people for classroom seating and 700 for receptions.
The 239-room DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Charlottesville has more than 16,000 square feet of event space and can accommodate 600 people for receptions and 500 theater style. The 205-room Omni Charlottesville Hotel has 14,000 square feet of event space and can host 579 for receptions and 528 theater style.
The boutique Quirk Hotel was rebranded under new management last year as the Doyle Hotel and will soon unveil an updated rooftop bar and culinary options. The 217-room Virginia Guesthouse, a new hotel and conference center opening later this year on the UVA campus, will feature approximately 25,000 square feet of conference center space, a full-service restaurant, a café, and a rooftop bar.
The Charlottesville area has earned national and international accolades for its renowned culinary and craft beverage scene.

Fallen Tree Vineyard opened in 2024, adding to the nearly 50 wineries in the area. The new Ethos Wine & Tea specializes in local, hand-crafted, natural wine products and creative, locally sourced small plates. Trump Cidery also had its official grand opening last summer, complementing the existing Trump Winery.
