MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Situated on the corner of Memphis’ famed Beale Street and Front Street, the new Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis is slated to open its doors in mid-April.
The hotel will boast approximately 9,000 square feet of meeting and event space, created through the conversion of the historic William C. Ellis and Sons Ironworks and Machine Shop, originally constructed in 1879. The space will be able to accommodate up to 450 attendees for meetings and up to 500 for receptions and social events.
This will be complemented by an event lawn, offering 3,500 square feet of outdoor space overlooking the scenic Mississippi River and pool deck.
“Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis will pride itself on offering an immersive experience that transports guests beyond the walls of the hotel to the heart of the action on Beale Street,” said general manager Sarah Titus.
The hotel is part of the One Beale mixed-used development currently underway, and the first full-service Hyatt hotel in Memphis.
With its central location, the Hyatt Centric Beale Street Memphis has the advantage of proximity to the culture, food, and nightlife of downtown Memphis. The pet-friendly hotel will feature modern interiors highlighted by colors, textures, and décor reflecting the city’s spirit.
The hotel’s 227 guest rooms, which include 12 suites, will feature a neutral color palette, vintage wall graphics, leather headboards, shower walls etched with familiar Memphis names and signs, and windows with views of the Memphis skyline and Mississippi River.
The venue will also be home to the only resort-style pool experience in the downtown area, with a sun deck, private poolside cabanas, and entertainment to keep with the hotel’s overall music-inspired theme.
