DALLAS—The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas has joined the Dallas Downtown Connection, expanding a strategic network of Marriott Bonvoy properties aimed at serving large-scale conferences and corporate events in the city’s urban core.
The collaboration, anchored by Sheraton Dallas Hotel, now includes four properties within walking distance of one another: Sheraton Dallas Hotel, Dallas Marriott Downtown, JW Marriott Dallas Arts District, and The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas. Together, the hotels offer more than 310,000 square feet of combined meeting space, 2,742 guest rooms, and 87 breakout rooms. The properties operate under the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio.
The Dallas Downtown Connection is designed to provide meeting planners with a single point of contact, centralized billing, and coordinated planning support for citywide and multi-hotel events. The alliance also allows planners to book room blocks across multiple properties while minimizing transportation and logistical challenges.
Beyond meeting space, the hotels are located near several downtown attractions, including Klyde Warren Park, American Airlines Center, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Dallas Museum of Art, and the Dallas Arts District.
“We are thrilled to welcome The Ritz-Carlton, Dallas into the Dallas Downtown Connection,” says Dave Swift, director of sales and marketing for Sheraton Dallas Hotel. “This expansion reinforces downtown Dallas as a leading meetings and business travel destination and gives planners and guests even more reasons to choose our collective hospitality network for their most important events and stays.”
Sheraton Dallas Hotel, described by the company as the largest hotel in Texas and the second-largest Sheraton in the world, serves as the anchor of the group. The property features more than 230,000 square feet of meeting space and can accommodate up to 5,000 attendees. It has 1,841 guest rooms, including 283 suites and 22 presidential suites, multiple dining venues, a fitness center, and a rooftop pool. Adjacent to the Sheraton, the 3.7-acre Pacific Plaza Park can host outdoor events with amplified sound between 9 a.m. and 10 p.m. with a special event permit. Sheraton Dallas Hotel provides catering services in the park, and food and beverage spending there can count toward group minimums, according to the hotel.
The expanded partnership is intended to position downtown Dallas to compete for larger national and international conventions by offering coordinated services, flexible event design, and access to a broad range of accommodations within a compact footprint.
