El Paso offers an incredible range of group opportunities to immerse event attendees in the region’s culture, cuisine, and outdoor adventures, says Brooke Underwood, executive director of Visit El Paso. “Planners can create unforgettable experiences through hands-on cooking classes at the Texas Culinary Institute, group tours along the historic El Paso Mission Trail, or guided hikes through Franklin Mountains State Park, one of the largest urban parks in the nation. Beyond that, El Paso’s festivals, art walks, and museum tours add endless options for teambuilding and cultural enrichment, much of which can only be experienced here in the ‘Sun City.’”
Located in the heart of downtown, El Paso Convention Center has 133,100 square feet of usable space, including 17 breakout rooms and 80,000 square feet of column-free event space. Located across the street from the convention center, Hotel Paso Del Norte, Autograph Collection has 351 guest rooms and more than 32,000 square feet of function space. Also downtown, The Plaza Hotel Pioneer Park has 131 guest rooms and 7,600 square feet of event space. “Both properties deliver unmatched hospitality, perfect for rewarding top performers or hosting executive retreats,” Underwood says.
There are more than 10,500 guest rooms throughout the city. Other hotels with event space include the 200-room DoubleTreee by Hilton El Paso Downtown, 151-room Courtyard by Marriott El Paso Downtown/Convention Center, and 119-room Hotel Indigo El Paso Downtown.
Underwood says the city offers a wealth of creative recreation and teambuilding opportunities. “Groups can explore the natural beauty of the Franklin Mountains and new attractions like the revitalized Downtown Arts District, historic Plaza Theatre, and a growing mix
of entertainment venues providing fresh options for offsite receptions or networking events.”
