Central Kentucky

VisitFrankfort.com; #VisitFrankfortKY—Kentucky’s capital city is small and affordable, friendly, walkable, centrally located in the state, and within a day’s drive of 75 percent of the U.S. population, says Robin Antenucci, executive director for Visit Frankfort.
“Frankfort’s historic downtown is home to lots of new bars and restaurants. New teambuilding or excursion options include The Bourbon Belle, a 50-person capacity riverboat offering tours, tastings, and special-events trips, and The Bourbon Blazer, a two-hour pedaling bar crawl for 13 guests with handpicked stops in downtown Frankfort.”
Local distilleries include Castle & Key, with indoor and outdoor event spaces, Whisky Thief, and Buffalo Trace, which has event space for 300 guests.
According to Antenucci, top hotels for events and meetings are Capital Plaza Hotel, with 163 guest rooms and more than 10,000 square feet of function space for 450 guests, and 123-room Hampton Inn Frankfort, with 1,152 total square feet of event space. Other venues include auditorium and classroom spaces at Kentucky State University; Thomas D. Clark Center for Kentucky History, with space to accommodate 200 guests; and The Foundry on Broadway, with 4,500 square feet of flexible space.
