Southern Living calls Franklin one of the “South’s Best Cities,” for good reason, notes Mathew Maxey, senior director of public relations for Visit Franklin. “We are home to a Great American Main Street: 16 historic blocks filled with local shops, galleries, restaurants, live-music venues, and a boutique hotel, all of which planners can transform into a downtown convention campus,” he says. “While historic downtown Franklin is quaint and peaceful, we also have more than 50 national and international corporate headquarters in our Cool Springs business district, which has a convention center, hotels, and countless unique meeting locations.”
Southall Farm & Inn is a 325-acre luxury resort with 62 guest rooms and 16 cottages, a spa, two signature restaurants, and a variety of farm, wellness, and adventure activities. The IACC-certified facility offers teambuilding activities and retreat space, plus indoor and outdoor venues, including the Orchard Event Center, with seating for 250 guests. The recently renovated Factory at Franklin has 30,000 square feet of theater and event space, plus retail and dining. Venues at The Factory include the 329-seat Turner Theater, the 14,400-square-foot Liberty Hall, and a new outdoor venue highlighted by a hand-carved carousel. Downtown Franklin’s new wider sidewalks create a direct walking connection to The Factory. Event space at Graystone Quarry includes the climate-controlled Hillside Pavilion, with covered porches and a 3,000-square-foot patio, and the Gathering Hall, which can seat 312 theater style.
Primary convention hotels include the 300-room Franklin Marriott Cool Springs, with 23,745 square feet of event space to seat 1,900 theater style; 250-room Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville South Cool Springs, with 24,889 square feet of function space; and The Harpeth Franklin Downtown, Curio Collection by Hilton, with 119 guest rooms and 7,719 square feet of event space. There are more than 6,000 guest rooms in the immediate area.
