
DALLAS, Texas – Hotel Crescent Court, set in Dallas, Texas’ vibrant Uptown, has appointed Mark Yanke as the hotel’s new general manager.
An industry veteran with extensive management experience, Yanke will lead the hotel team and be responsible for managing the property day-to-day and overseeing all operational aspects of the 226-room property, including food & beverage, the Spa at The Crescent, and the exclusive Crescent Club.
“With a record of outstanding business acumen, combined with his vast experience in operating luxury properties, Mark will be a visionary leader for the hotel,” says Denise Mope, director of sales and marketing. “We’re confident he will continue to uphold the quintessential Texas essence and overall excellence that Hotel Crescent Court is known for.”
Yanke’s experience in the hospitality industry spans nearly four decades, overseeing numerous hotel openings in his career and holding several leadership positions in Texas.
Prior to joining Hotel Crescent Court, Yanke most recently served as general manager of The Joseph Hotel in Nashville, Tenn. He also served as opening general manager for Virgin Hotels in Dallas, president and managing director of St. Anthony Hotel in San Antonio, president and general manager of Hotel Emma in San Antonio, and senior vice president and managing director of the Houstonian Hotel in Houston. Additionally, Yanke held the position of president and CEO for Redstone Companies in Houston, where he led the hospitality division and managed various luxury hotels, golf, spa, and fitness operations. Even further back, he had roles at Rosewood Hotels & Resorts, the previous ownership group of Hotel Crescent Court.
Yanke, a Detroit native, attended Northwood University in Midland, Mich., where he received an honorary doctoral degree. In his spare time, Mark enjoys quality family time with his wife of 33 years and their three adult children, and their first grandson, who just turned one.
