“With 60 miles of pristine beaches and warm Atlantic waters, this is a place that (event) attendees are genuinely excited to visit,”
says Bob Harris, executive vice president of sales for Visit Myrtle Beach. “Myrtle Beach lets groups go beyond the boardroom an enjoy many experiences, from eco-adventures like dolphin cruises and hands-on marine life encounters, to world-class live entertainment across 10 theaters.”

Myrtle Beach Convention Center has a 100,800-square-foot column-free exhibit hall, which can seat up to 10,000 people theater style. The connecting 400-room Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel, a AAA Three Diamond hotel, provides 131,997 square feet of additional event space.

Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort has 550 guest rooms and offers 32,077 square feet of meeting space. The 745-room Embassy Suites by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront Resort at Kingston Resorts features 70,000 square feet of event space. Both properties completed separate $65 million renovations in 2022.

The 400-room Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort & Spa at Grande Dunes has 35,650 square feet of event space across 11 event rooms and 15 breakout rooms. Its largest space, the 15,030-square-foot Atlantic Ballroom, accommodates a capacity of 1,665 people theater style, 1,600 for receptions, and 1,200 for banquets. A 452-room dual-flag waterfront property, Ellie Beach Resort Myrtle Beach, Tapestry by Hilton and DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Myrtle Beach Oceanfront opened in 2024; it features 38,000 square feet of meeting space and two onsite restaurants.

The Shelby Myrtle Beach, an IHG Hotel, opened in June as South Carolina’s first voco™ property. It has 242 guest rooms, 1,350 square feet of event space, direct beach access, an outdoor swimming pool with a lazy river, two dining experiences, and other amenities.

Myrtle Beach’s Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing make group outings extra fun. Both attractions are easy to reach on foot and offer 350 acres of shopping, dining, and other amenities. For a more genteel vibe, Brookgreen Gardens, located on more than 9,000 acres approximately 30 minutes south of Myrtle Beach, features more than 2,000 sculptures and manicured landscapes. The property is rooted in the legacy of trailblazing sculptor Anna Hyatt Huntington, who lived there with her husband. Groups often pair a tour of the gardens with a stroll and dining experience at the nearby Murrells Inlet MarshWalk, a scenic boardwalk dotted with top-tier waterfront restaurants.

Groups can enjoy a variety of new dining and unique event venue options, including New Myrtle Cape Fear Seafood Company and Barn View Winery. Located in Loris, the winery features several varieties produced under the owner’s private label, Barn View. The winery is open Thursday through Saturday and features live music and a food truck on Saturday.
