VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. – Crescent Hotels & Resorts has announced Neville Erasmus as general manager at Delta by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront.
The 295-room, all-suite property is one of Virginia Beach’s waterfront destinations.
“We are thrilled to welcome Neville to Virginia Beach and to have him lead the Delta Hotels team. Neville’s global experience and previous tenure with luxury resorts made him an obvious choice for this role,” says Allison Beckner, vice president of operations of Delta by Marriott Virginia Beach Waterfront. “Virginia Beach is a growing destination, and we are certain that his keen eye for the details that truly matter and passion for hospitality will be a welcome addition to our property and help it continue to thrive with locals and visitors alike.”
Prior to this, Erasmus most recently served as the general manager of the Renaissance Asheville Downtown Hotel. He was also general manager of Atlanta’s acclaimed Château Elan Winery & Resort, where he oversaw a $25 million comprehensive renovation.
Erasmus arrives in Virginia Beach with extensive experience at a variety of properties across Africa, Europe, the Caribbean, and the United States, including managerial roles at properties such as the Warwick Hotel in Denver and the Liberty Hotel in Boston. Born in Cape Town, South Africa, Erasmus attended the University of Birmingham in the UK where he studied hotel business management and later went on to study food and beverage revenue management, and hotel real estate and asset management through Cornell University Online.
“With breathtaking, panoramic views of the Chesapeake Bay and beautifully appointed suites, this property is truly an oasis. I am honored to join the Delta Hotels Virginia Beach team and look forward to providing our guests with the seamless travel experience and effortless relaxation they expect from a hotel of our caliber,” Erasmus.
