New Experiences Await Groups in Daytona Beach

A vacation awaits your next meeting in Daytona Beach, Fla., home to the “world’s most famous beach.” With new properties and new experiences, plus affordability and accessibility, Daytona Beach exceeds all expectations for hosting events and conventions.

With more than 12,000 guest rooms and 300,000 square feet of meeting space in hotels located both on and off the beach, Daytona Beach checks all the boxes in providing a first-class experience that meets the needs of attendees. From large meeting space, anchored by the premier Ocean Center convention complex, to such flexible and creative venues as Daytona International Speedway, there’s a space and a place for your group.

Attendees can quickly go from the boardrooms and ballrooms to the beach, especially when they’re gathering at the Ocean Center, one of the largest beachfront convention centers in Florida. This world-class venue serves as the area’s convention, entertainment, and sports complex just 400 feet from the Atlantic Ocean. Having undergone a major renovation and expansion in 2017, the venue features more than 205,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor meeting space. It is conveniently located close to major hotels and popular restaurants and is just 10 minutes from Daytona Beach International Airport.

Many hotels are within walking distance of the Ocean Center, including:

  • The Daytona Grande Resort, a 27-story, 456-room oceanfront property with an infinity pool
  • The 190-room Renaissance by Marriott Daytona Beach Oceanfront, the newest hotel in Daytona Beach, which also has an upscale “tide-to-table” restaurant, Cast & Crew, located within the hotel
  • The 744-room Hilton Daytona Beach Oceanfront Resort, located directly across from the Ocean Center
  • Other attractive properties include the Hard Rock Hotel Daytona Beach, a 200-room beachfront resort, and the 12-story oceanfront Max Beach Resort.

No matter where you meet in Daytona Beach, you’re always within minutes of countless adventures. Attendees can sink their toes in the sand along 23 miles of white-sand beaches, experience high-speed thrills at Daytona International Speedway, and, of course, delight their palates with an eclectic local dining scene. Climb the 203 steps to the top of Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, Florida’s tallest, for spectacular 360-degree views of the Intracoastal waterway. Visit the Museum of Arts and Sciences, a Smithsonian-affiliated museum. Go offshore for exciting deep-sea fishing or kick back and relax while sunset cruising in inland waterways.

New attractions in the destination to explore include:

  • Daytona Aquarium & Rainforest Adventure, a 55,000-square foot facility with close to 40 separate exhibits, including a 110,000-gallon shark exhibit and two touch pools, including a 12,000-gallon stingray touch pool
  • Spanning a mile of Intracoastal Waterway, the Riverfront Esplanade is a premier gathering space and botanical garden in downtown Daytona Beach along the Intracoastal Waterway.
  • PopStroke is a miniature golf/family entertainment center co-owned by golf legend Tiger Woods. Guests are able to “Eat, Putt and Drink” to their heart’s content on a pair of 18-hole scaled-down golf courses with sand traps and greens.
