Located in the heart of the D.C.-Baltimore metroplex, Prince George’s County is easily accessible from three of the area’s major international airports. The county also offers more than 12,000 guest rooms and more than 850,000 square feet of meeting and exhibit space.

National Harbor, the 350-acre urban resort destination on the Potomac River, is considered by many as the jewel in Prince George’s “crown.” According to Jamie Rice, National Harbor’s director of sales and tourism, “National Harbor offers it all: approximately 3,500 guest rooms, more than one million square feet of meeting space, and family-friendly appeal for those interested in turning their stay into a vacation. We also have the most spectacular sunsets.”

National Harbor’s Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center features 546,889 square feet of event space across 94 event rooms and 101 breakout rooms. Its largest ballroom, at 50,000 square feet, accommodates up to 5,500 guests, while a 178,787-square-foot exhibition hall has a capacity of 10,000 people. Resort amenities include shopping, a Forbes Four-Star spa, and numerous dining options. The resort’s new Whiskey Revolution: Tasting Room serves more than 100 whiskey expressions, and new Capital Confectionery features bon bons, cakes, and gelato prepared by its own culinary staff.

The 308-room MGM National Harbor resort has 50,000 square feet of event space and a 3,000-seat theater; its largest space, the Grand Ballroom, can host a capacity of 1,800 for receptions.

AC Hotel National Harbor Washington, DC Area offers 192 guest rooms and 7,253 square feet of event space; updates to guest-room bathrooms are expected to be completed this month. Westin Washington National Harbor, which offers 195 guest rooms and 2,212 square feet of event space, is updating corridor lighting and flooring in corridors and pre-function space. The 154-room Hampton Inn & Suites National Harbor/Alexandria Area recently completed a full renovation of guest rooms, public areas, and meeting space.

Group deals in National Harbor include the complimentary “Show Your Badge” app, which offers discounts at participating businesses. National Harbor’s 180-foot Capital Wheel also offers groups opportunities to customize the iconic landmark’s lights with corporate colors.

In College Park, The Hotel at the University of Maryland features 43,000 square feet of event space, and the College Park Marriott & Conference Center has more than 40,000 square feet of event space with a capacity of 975 people. In Greenbelt, the 291-room Crowne Plaza College Park – Washington DC features 11,075 square feet of event space for small groups.
