
SARASOTA, Fla. – The Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, a landmark located on Florida’s central Gulf Coast, has announced the appointment of Rajesh (Raj) Khubchandani as the resort’s general manager.
Khubchandani will oversee all resort, residence, beach club, and golf club operations at the iconic property, which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year.
A seasoned hotelier who has worked in numerous countries, Khubchandani brings a wealth of experience to his new position. An award-winning leader within Marriott International Inc., he most recently served as vice president of luxury brand operations. Prior to that, he held several leadership positions at other Ritz-Carlton properties including general manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner, The Ritz-Carlton, Boston, and The Residences at The Ritz-Carlton Towers, Boston Common, and opening hotel manager at The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles.

A native of India, Khubchandani is a graduate of the University of Calcutta, where he received a bachelor’s degree in commerce and majored in economics and finance. He also studied strategic hospitality management at Cornell University and finished his postgraduate studies at the Oberoi Center of Learning and Development in New Delhi, India.
